Position: Music Teacher

Location: Clitheroe

Start date: 17th April 2023

A Secondary school in Clitheroe are looking to appoint a Music Teacher following the Easter holidays. The post is initially until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue.

The governors of this successful school are seeking to appoint a skilled, dynamic sole Teacher of Music to join their committed and talented department. The successful candidate will be well-qualified, with the vision and energy to inspire and motivate young people.

The successful Teacher will:

  • Plan and prepare individual lessons, and overall schemes of work for the pupils
  • Teach individual and/or group lessons, incorporating elements of general music, such as ear training and theory, as well as instrumental technique and interpretation
  • Provide reports and feedback to pupils (or their parents/carers) about their progress
  • Establish relationships with schools, local authority music services and others who may be able to offer you work
  • Prepare pupils for performances, examinations and festivals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
