An Ofsted rated “good” school in the BB4 area of Lancashire are looking to recruit an inspiring and creative Music Teacher to join their team from January 2023. The role is initially for one term, with the potential to extend. The school aims to engage and inspire their students to love music and develop their talents, so it is important the successful candidate has a genuine passion for the subject.

Candidate criteria:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status
  • Can not only increase the pupil’s musical skill but also the their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement
  • Most be open to participating in extra-curricular music activities/ participating in the musical productions
  • Have previous experience teaching music across KS3/4
  • Knowledge and experience teaching the GCSE Music syllabus is desirable
  • Ensure students are individually supported on their learning journey
  • Setting a strong professional lead, ensuring students have high standards of presentation, behaviour, and performance
  • Must be able to actively promote and develop the ethos of the school
  • Must have excellent classroom management skills
  • Must hold a child specific enhanced DBS on the update system

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
