TP Tutors is seeking passionate and reliable 1:1 Tutors to support children and young people across Wellingborough and nearby areas.

You will work with learners who may be unable to attend mainstream school, require additional academic intervention, or have SEND, SEMH needs, or an EHCP. This is an opportunity to provide personalised education in a supportive environment and help learners rebuild confidence, motivation, and engagement with learning.

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and personalised tuition across Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels.
  • Plan lessons around the learner's individual ability, interests, needs and learning style.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs and additional learning needs.
  • Follow the UK National Curriculum and provide appropriate academic intervention.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with learners and create a calm learning environment.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, motivation and positive attitudes towards education.
  • Monitor progress and provide clear session notes and reports after each lesson.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, Local Authorities, parents/carers and other professionals.
  • Adjust your approach where necessary to ensure every learner has the opportunity to make meaningful progress.

We're interested in hearing from experienced education professionals who are passionate about helping young people succeed.

  • Minimum 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, flexible and learner-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage behaviour and establish positive relationships with young people.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • QTS or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working within Primary, Secondary or GCSE settings.
  • Previous experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or EHCPs.
  • Experience delivering intervention or 1:1 tuition.
  • Flexible daytime tuition assignments to suit your availability.
