Hours: Full-time (Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30)

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join a dedicated specialist team in Northampton.

This isn't just a job-it's an opportunity to act as a mentor, advocate, and steady anchor for students aged 11-16 (Key Stage 3 & 4) who face social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Your Responsibilities

• Empower & Mentor: Work 1:1 and in small groups to build strong, trusting relationships, encouraging both emotional resilience and academic progress.
• Support Tailored Learning: Collaborate with teachers to deliver personalized activities and Individual Support Plans (ISPs) designed around each child's unique needs.
• Positive Behaviour Guidance: Apply empathy and proactive de-escalation strategies to help students navigate complex emotions and choices safely.
• Celebrate Progress: Track milestones and champion every win-no matter how small-building confidence in students who need it most.
• Work as a Team: Serve as a compassionate connection between the school, families, and support agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student care.

What We Are Looking For

• Genuine Passion: A deep, heartfelt commitment to advocating for SEN children and making a positive impact every day.
• Essential Experience: Proven prior experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or complex behavioral needs.
• De-escalation Skills: Team Teach trained (or a strong willingness to undertake training).
• Calm & Resilient Character: Exceptional listening skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging moments.

• • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.
  • Relevant overseas criminal record checks if applicable.
