We are looking for a Qualified Music Technology Teacher based in the Walsall/Wolverhampton area to work in a partner secondary school from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable teacher to inspire students through Music Technology, developing their creativity, technical skills and understanding of music production.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students of varying abilities and helping them achieve their full potential.

  • Plan and deliver high quality Music Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach Music Technology across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop students' practical, creative and technical music production skills
  • Use industry standard software and equipment to support learning
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Support students with coursework, projects and examinations where applicable
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school
  • Attend departmental meetings, parents' evenings and school events as required
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching Music Technology within UK secondary schools
  • Strong knowledge of the Music Technology curriculum at KS3 and KS4
  • Experience using music production software and digital audio workstations
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
