They won’t remember every note.

They won’t remember every technical term.

But they will remember:

  • The rhythm they finally got right
  • The moment they weren’t afraid to perform
  • The lesson that felt structured instead of chaotic

That’s what this role is actually about.

What Your Lessons Leave Behind

As a Music Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that are structured enough to build skill, but flexible enough to allow creativity.

Students are not expected to be perfect — but they are expected to improve.

You will:

  • Teach practical and theory‑based Music lessons
  • Develop rhythm, timing, listening, and composition skills
  • Support students in performing with confidence
  • Build routines that keep practical lessons focused
  • Manage equipment and classroom movement effectively
  • Prepare KS4 students for coursework and assessment

What Happens When It’s Done Well

  • Students participate without hesitation
  • Lessons feel purposeful, not noisy
  • Progress is visible in performance and understanding
  • Behaviour improves because expectations are clear

What You Need to Bring

  • Confidence running practical, active lessons
  • Clear instructions and strong classroom structure
  • Ability to manage groups, movement, and sound
  • A calm presence in a high‑energy environment

Who This Role Works For

  • Teachers who enjoy practical subjects but still want control
  • People who value progress over performance
  • Professionals who can make creativity feel organised

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with strong musical, performance, or production backgrounds.
