Your role:
v Teach engaging practical and theory-based lessons that build students’ skills and confidence.
v Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel able to participate.
v Lead or support ensembles, choirs, bands, or instrumental groups depending on your strengths.
v Prepare students for performances, concerts, assemblies, and school events.
v Use a variety of teaching approaches to support mixed-ability groups.
v Incorporate music technology where appropriate (notation software, DAWs, keyboards, etc.).
v Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development.
v Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to support cross-curricular opportunities.
v Promote a love of music and encourage students to take part in wider enrichment activities.
