Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality and engaging music lessons, tailored to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities and learning styles
  • Fostering a creative and stimulating environment that encourages musical expression and teamwork
  • Leading extracurricular music activities, such as choir, band, or orchestra, to enhance students' musical experiences
  • Collaborating with the Music Department to contribute to the development and improvement of the music curriculum
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their overall development
  • Establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a harmonious learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Music at the secondary school level, with a strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum
  • Passionate about music and dedicated to inspiring students' musical journeys
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all stakeholders
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with educational best practices
  • A Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required
