Music Teacher needed at a Secondary School in Central Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit for a Music Teacher to work in a secondary school in Manchester City Centre. The successful Teacher would ideally be required to start as soon as possible, but due to the more reactive nature of this vacancy, could begin on Monday the 28th of November. This full-time role is required only for a few weeks until Christmas 2022, however this position offers the opportunity to continue in January 2023 until the end of the Spring Term.

The school has recently refurbished facilities and possesses an extremely welcoming cohort of staff. The location of the school is easy to commute to via public transport, and there are tram links and bus stops within a 10-minute walk which go in and out of the City Centre. Someone with access to a vehicle would also have access to a large and secure staff car park.

The role itself involves working closely with the Music Department and running lessons for students across KS3 and KS4. It is essential that applicants have previous experience as they will be planning lessons and working with the current curriculum expectations. Applicants will also need to have a strong grasp of relevant material and have the ability to build strong relationships and connect with students from various backgrounds, in a short space of time.

Further requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (Music)

Experience planning and delivering lessons or work to secondary school students would be ideal

Outgoing and confident in ability to build relationships with students

Good behavioural management and clear communication skills

Ability to start as soon as possible and hit the ground running (some level of flexibility)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
