We are currently hiring for a passionate Music teacher for a large Ofsted rated ‘good’ secondary school in the Gateshead. The position will be full-time  from January until the end of the academic year, however, for the right candidate there is the opportunity for this to become a permanent position. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and high achieving school, with state-of-the-art facilities. The school is looking for a vigorous and resilient individual who has a passion for teaching all aspects of music and strives to meet the needs of every young person.


  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Two educational/school-based references
  • The ability to communicate with and inspire children of all abilities
  • Experience in teaching KS3/KS4 is desirable
  • DBS certificate (Child only) registered on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
