Join the Music department of a large sized secondary school in Bury.

Our client school is based in Bury and is accessible via both the M60 and A56 from areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and central Manchester. For non-driver s, the school is accessible via several forms of public transport with direct links from neighbouring areas such as Radcliffe, Whitefield and Rochdale.

  • Full-time Music Teacher.
  • Required from January 2023.
  • Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£28,000 – £43,685).

The successful candidate will be joining a successful and pro-active Music department which uses timetabled and dedicated time to plan and prepare lessons collaboratively, ensuring high quality lessons are delivered throughout the department.

The incoming teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable up to GCSE level. The successful candidate must be confident planning and delivering lessons to pupils at varying levels of learning ability. It will be important to promote positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
