Music Teacher needed immediately at a secondary school in Central Manchester

Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary School in central Manchester who are looking for a Music Teacher to join their team. The gap needs filling as soon as possible, so any applicants with immediate start availability would be strongly recommended to apply. The role is required to be filled until the Christmas holiday 2022.

The school have a large cohort of extremely welcoming and friendly staff and the music department are very supportive and looking forward to having an additional member on their team. The location of the school is easy to commute to via public transport, which goes in and out of Manchester city centre. Additionally, someone with access to a vehicle would be able to utilise the staff car park. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is wanting to teach all three science subjects rather than just one.

Potential to earn up to £140 per day (depending on experience)

Payscales will be adhered to with applications encouraged from all experience levels: M1 – UPS3

The position has various responsibilities and successful applicants should anticipate having a working relationship with the music department to create fresh lesson plans and structures to ensure that students remain motivated and interested in the subject. Marking and lesson planning will be expected so it essential that candidates have some prior experience teaching Music. Applicants will also need to have a strong grasp of relevant subject material and have the ability to build strong relationships with lots of students.

Additional requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (Music)

Experience planning and delivering lessons or work to KS3 would be ideal

Outgoing and confident in ability to build relationships with students

Ability to start ASAP and hit the ground running (some level of flexibility)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
