"We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Music to join our thriving and well-resourced department. Ideally, we seek a candidate who will teach at KS3, KS4 and KS5 but applicants who cannot teach at KS5 will also be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the exciting co-curricular musical provision of the School." - Head of Department

The co-curricular programme, and in particular Music, is at the core of the educational provision. There is an incredible array of musical ensembles and choirs and the school is where music is not simply an additional activity but a subject where those pupils who wish to pursue it to the highest level regularly achieve that goal. Pupils regularly go on to study Music at university, often end up winning scholarships.

This is a dynamic and busy department, with an excellent team of 4 classroom teachers, a full-time Music School Administrator. There is a full programme of concerts and recitals in School. In addition, being situated a short distance from Preston, the department makes good use of opportunities to take pupils to concerts and recitals as well as providing the opportunity to give regular performances at venues local to Preston and surrounding areas.

This role is a full-time temporary role to cover a maternity leave, will commence in January 2022, or earlier if the right candidate is available. First interviews are with Emily Billington from Teaching Personnel, then your application is sent to the school to review for interview.
