A school in Manchester is looking for a Music Teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. The requirements for this role are as follows:

  • QTS.
  • A degree (preferably in Music, or a related subject)
  • Prior experience in  teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 .

It is expected that the required applicant will be able to:

  • Actively look to improve overall atttainemnt within the subject, as well as implementing strategies to enhance pupil development.
  • Provide an engaging experience for all students, using school equipment to create a unique learning experience within the subject.
  • Work with GCSE students to ensure that they are able to meet their predicted grade, through individual provision whenever necessary.
  • Work closely with students with SEN, as well as those requiring EAL support – understanding the difficulties that these students may face when trying to engage with the learning process.
  • Monitor day to day factors related to attendance, examination preparation, as well as any pastoral issues that may arise.
  • Provide regular feedback to subject leaders, senior leaders, students and parents whenever necessary.

This role will commence in September 2020, and will run for 1 term in the first instance.
