A highly supportive mainstream primary school in Chorley is seeking a talented and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to provide maternity cover from October half term through to the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to pupils during a crucial stage of their educational development.

  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, personal, and social development.
  • Track attainment and identify areas for further support.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary school environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Main Pay Scale salary dependent on experience.
  • Stable maternity cover role until the end of the academic year.
