We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Bournemouth to offer a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience before moving into formal teacher training.

This is a great way to get a real feel for school life, build your confidence and learn from experienced teachers while being paid from day one.

You’ll work closely with teachers and pupils across the school, gaining valuable experience and developing the skills you’ll need for a future career in teaching.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Support pupils with their learning and engagement.
  • Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
  • Develop your classroom management and communication skills.
  • Work alongside experienced teachers and support staff.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Get involved in the wider life of the school.

No previous teaching experience is required, although experience working with children or young people through tutoring, coaching, mentoring or similar would be beneficial.

We’re looking for enthusiastic graduates who are genuinely interested in education and want to develop their skills in a school environment.

You’ll need:

  • A recent bachelor's degree, ideally 2:1 or above.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, reliable and professional approach.
  • Confidence working with young people.
  • A willingness to learn and take feedback.
  • A genuine interest in becoming a teacher.
  • £23,000–£27,000 salary
