What You'll Be Doing

You'll help create a classroom where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with their learning and development.
  • Delivering one-to-one and small-group activities.
  • Helping with phonics, reading, writing and early maths.
  • Supporting play-based and creative learning.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social development.
  • Helping children develop independence and confidence.
  • Supporting pupils who may need additional encouragement.
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff.


The ideal Teaching Assistant

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working with children, either professionally or voluntarily.
  • A patient and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • A genuine interest in Early Years education.
  • The ability to travel to Luton.

Previous school or nursery experience is desirable but not essential.
